Do people get on your last nerve?

Meet people where they are and not where you want them to be.

Ever get tripped up about this? I do.

You probably know someone that gets on your last nerve…

They can’t use Mapquest as good as you

They have racist opinions and that’s wrong

They drink too much and get belligerent

They’re always late

They're not social distancing right

It’s easy to judge and shame them while giving ourselves a pat on the back because we’re so much better.

Well, no surprise here but Dale Carnegie doesn’t talk about this tactic one time in his How to Win Friends and Influence People best seller ;)

So reminder…

There will always be people behind and ahead of us.

Have compassion for those behind and be grateful for those that give us grace.

There will always be people who do things different than how we do them.

And so what? Take the focus off of that and put it on the thing they do that’s really great.

When we practice these simple reminders the results are profound!

No, the person might not change one bit (you know we don’t control that, right?) but your relationship with them will change.

You, me, everyone has 60,000 thoughts per day and our thoughts are all uniquely ours. Multiply 60,000 x the world's population and you see how absurd it is to think that most people think (and consequently do) like us.

Wayne Dyer also says: When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change.

Be the change this week my lovelies!
