UPDATE: Even though the program has started, it’s not too late for you to sign up!

Hi, I’m glad you’re here!

Enthusiasm is an understatement for how much I enjoy helping people live happy and healthy lives.

I’ve been a certified personal trainer since 2009 and a professional life coach since 2013. These two passions pack a powerful 1-2 punch when it comes to helping people up-level their lives for good.

However, back in the day, my approach to weight loss and health kept me frustrated and stuck. I would…

  • beat myself up when I didn’t eat ‘healthy’ or get to the gym

  • exercise a lot of control and willpower to stay on track

  • ooze guilt when I’d mess up

  • do too much, quit, and then figure out how I could try harder

This approach was exhausting and kept me an anxious mess. I’d always end up failing which would further deplete my self-confidence and self-trust.

I ditched that approach and created a new, kinder one and I call it:

The Power of Smalls: It’s the small changes you make that add up to big, lasting, and POSitive results.

The Power of Smalls (POS) works because it’s:

  • simple and easy to incorporate into your busy life

  • a POSitive and productive way to go about lasting health

And I want to help you integrate this simple practice into your life during FIT Community.

Here’s what to expect during the three weeks:

WEEK 1: FIT Community Kick-Off Meeting and Community Workout #1

+Saturday, January 27
9 am-10:30 am CST –– Kick-off meeting (9-9:45 am) and workout (9:45-10:30 am)
Sequatchie County Fairgrounds Gym (the old middle school, 196 Fredonia Rd, Dunlap, TN)

During the meeting, you will…

⇒ Learn how to apply the simple POS steps in your life so that you see POSitive results in 21 days.

⇒ See a powerful example of how a few small changes add up to 2 1/2lbs of weight loss in 21 days

⇒ Get a refresher about how to work with instead of against yourself to stay on track

⇒ Learn the four common mistakes most people unintentionally make when setting goals and what to do instead that works

⇒ Hear what’s in place to keep you accountable and focused so you succeed

⇒ Have any of your questions answered

After the meeting, we will do our first community workout for all ability levels (some people may only walk and that’s OK!)

+You don’t have to be present to participate

WEEK 2: Community Workout #2

Saturday, February 3
9 am-9:45 am CST
Harris Park Pavillian, 245 Cedar St, Dunlap

Come prepared to have fun, get in a great workout based on your ability level, and meet fantastic people. We'll also save a bit of time for questions and discussion.

WEEK 3: Community Workout #3

Saturday, February 10
9 am-9:45 am CST
Harris Park Pavillian, 245 Cedar St, Dunlap

Get in another great workout and have more fun :)  We'll save time for discussion about how to set yourself up to succeed moving forward.

FIT Community participants receive:

A comprehensive worksheet that helps you decide what small changes you will make and how to set yourself up to succeed.

A weekly in-person community workout that I lead (for everyone local.) The workouts are for every level, even those who can only do some walking. Families with well-behaved children are also welcome. You can still do this program if you can't make the workouts.

Support and accountability through the private Facebook group that I monitor. It's a POSitive and non-judging place to ask questions, share successes, and get the support you need.

I hope you join FIT Community and see for yourself how incorporating The Power of Smalls into your life adds up to BIG, lasting, and POSitive results!

And remember, you don’t have to be present to participate.

Thank you for an excellent health and fitness experience. I am grateful our paths crossed. The Power Of Smalls and ‘reset’ continue to be a daily part of my healthy lifestyle.

Fit Community is a great experience for all ages. Even at 72 with arthritis and an artificial knee, I could keep up with the younger ladies, while going at my own pace. Kelly is an enthusiastic, encouraging joy as a leader!

FAQ

What if I can't attend the kick-off meeting?
No problem! I will upload and share the presentation and audio to the Facebook group for you to view and catch up. I can also share the presentation via email if needed.

What if I can't make it to any/all of the workouts?
No problem! It's certainly best if you can make them but I understand that's not always possible. The beauty of this program is that it still works even if you can't be there in person. You’ll have support and accountability through the private Facebook group that I monitor.

Can I participate if I don't live locally?
Yes! People who live out of town have joined and achieved a lot of success!

You obviously won't be able to do the in-person workouts but no worries! I'm very vocal on the private Facebook group and am happy to give you ideas for things you can do on your own. And if you sign up with a friend you can be active together and hold each other accountable.

What if it rains for the workouts?
We meet rain or shine because the gym and park are covered. And besides, we Dunlapers are tough!

Will I feel out of place if I'm not in good shape?
That’s up to you but I promote inclusive and non-judging environments. Everyone, no matter your ability level, is welcome and there is never any pressure to do anything you don't feel comfortable doing. I’m also good about giving modifications according to your needs. The biggest benefit participants receive is the sense of togetherness and community that happens during the program.

Can I bring my kids?
Sure as long as they're well-behaved and would like to participate.

What if I don’t have Facebook?
Congratulations :) You can consider signing up and only joining the group or if that’s not your style, you’ll have my email.

Are you going to try and sell me something?
No. I do this as a give-back to my community.

I have more questions, how can I reach you?
Feel free to email me at motivate@fitbykelly.com

Who’s responsible if I get injured?
When you sign up for this wellness program you agree not to hold Kelly Summersett, Sequatchie County Fairgrounds, or Harris Park responsible if an injury should occur.

I always promote safe workouts and give modifications for every exercise. It’s your responsibility to listen to your body and if something doesn’t feel comfortable, don’t do it or ask for assistance.

I participated in Fit Community all the way from Seattle, WA! This program gave me small goals to reach for each day that were actually attainable!

I found the presentation incredibly helpful as it helped get me started on the right foot and the Facebook group was a great way to stay motivated. You don’t have to be local to benefit from being a part of this community!
